Siri’s mother was a successful F.E.I. dressage competitor, so horses
and dressage were a constant in her life and she began riding at a very
early age, learning correct basics right from the start.
and dressage were a constant in her life and she began riding at a very
early age, learning correct basics right from the start.
As Siri matured, she explored other equestrian disciplines, including jumping, hunters, reining, and even dabbled in ranch horse work. Siri completed the Texas Tech University Breaking and Training course, where she so impressed the professor that she was asked to come back to help the next semester’s students. While she doesn't specialize in starting young horses, her knowledge of correct basic training helped her excel in the class. Despite her success in other disciplines, Siri’s passion for dressage always pulled her back.
Like all of us, Siri knows dressage can be a humbling sport but believes nothing in the world can beat those “got it!!” moments. That instant when -for a stride or a circle- it comes together and you can feel it; when it all makes sense. As an instructor, Siri looks to bring this same experience to her students. For Siri, that moment when her student “gets it” and she sees the excitement shining from their eyes is as good as experiencing it herself.
In the end, Siri’s passion is more than just dressage. It’s about horses- being in their company, getting to know their individual
personalities, and seeing how proud they are after a good lesson. Siri likes to work with all breeds and has experience with Arabians, Thoroughbreds, Friesians, Quarter Horses, warmbloods, and crosses.

Siri has been teaching in the Houston area since 2009 and recently made her debut showing at Prix St. Georges with scores of 62.5% and 63.6%. She hopes to complete the Fourth Level score requirements this year to earn her USDF Silver Medal.
"In the last two and a half years, Siri has been so much more than an instructor for me. Thanks to her dedication to my riding, she has given me the skills and confidence to train my once flighty and green off-the-track-thoroughbred to a reliable and educated second level Dressage horse. Siri’s lessons are always positive for both horse and rider and she has a clear way of explaining things to make sure the concept is understood. Instructors like Siri are very hard to find - she is knowledgeable, patient, enthusiastic and kind and has a genuine interest in you and your horses’ success. My horses and I love our weekly lessons with Siri and I would not be the rider I am today without her."

"I've looked far and wide in Houston and the surrounding areas for the perfect instructor and I found it with Siri. I've been with Siri for 1 1/2 yrs and have made more progress in my riding with Siri than the 3 yrs prior with other instructors. She has a way of putting things that helps you really understand what it means to ride correctly and efficiently. She's also awesome at pairing riders with the "right" horse. When I had a hard time finding the right horse for me to buy she paired me with Zack, the horse I've been leasing for the past 10months. I could not have asked for a better horse to be partnered up with. He has allowed me to learn ride without fear or frustration. My riding has vastly improved with Siri- I didn't know what a serpentine was or how big a 20 meter circle was beginning with Siri and now I'm competing in schooling shows and scoring 68 and 71 in the intro dressage classes. She's the best!"
